About my favorite things.

One part of my story is the unfolding of a dream. This dream had many seeds, watered by many sources over the course of time. Like most things in this story of life, one thing has led to another which has led to another—and so here I am today, seeing part of my dream become more than fiction.

As a young girl, I loved watching The Sound of Music. (What little girl didn’t?!) Something about the story made an indelible impression upon my young heart, beckoning me to beauty and life as lovely and fresh and free as the mountaintops in the opening scene. The song “My Favorite Things” was so full of fun and life, it just seemed to stick with me from then on, representing what I hoped my life would be.

As my life story continued on, I found myself continually drawn back to creative ideas and projects. Flowers, fabrics, decorating—all these provided an outlet for displaying and creating beauty. As my preferences and style solidified, it became more difficult to find items that matched the vision I had in my head. That pushed me to design, develop, and create my own items; soon after, my favorite things was formed.
